Several transcriptionists needed
Date Posted: 03/28/2025Job Description:
JOB OPPORTUNITY: Hello, fellow TA Grads. I am a TA Legal grad (Cape Transcription Service in Florida), but I'm looking for general, and I will probably post this in legal, too, as well as on the job board. (You can search my name or confirm with Janet that I am legit.) There is another grad here who took advantage of this opportunity a couple of years ago, and he's been very successful since then.
That being said, this is a lucrative opportunity for several transcriptionists for two jobs coming up next week and in mid-April. I am going to post everything you need to know here and give you my email address to reach out if you feel you're the right fit for THIS JOB AT THIS TIME. I will then put you in touch with the Admin for this job. I just don't want her flooded with people just looking for information. I am not looking to put this out as subcontracting job where I take a cut, which would be nice, But I don't have that kind of time.
This is an opportunity for 3 to 6 people.
The jobs have tight deadlines, are time sensitive, and confidential. You will be signing NDAs. This will most likely mean working on the weekend and one of the weekends is Easter weekend. One job will be coming in on April 4th, the other on April 16th. (You will be working starting late Thursday or early Friday. You need to be flexible. The jobs will be due Monday.) These are mock juries. The April 4th mock juries are about 3-4 hours long. The April 16th mock juries are about 4 hours long.
Job requirements:
These have to do with real cases, which is why you will sign the NDAs. YOU NEED TO BE ABLE TO RESEARCH. You need to be able to listen carefully. Mock jury means 12 people in a room. YOU WILL NOT NEED TO IDENTIFY EACH OF THEM. Speaker IDs are simply MAN, WOMAN, MODERATOR. If you use AI, YOU ABSOLUTELY NEED TO AUDIO PROOF AND RETURN IN A WORD DOCUMENT. DO NOT SEND IN AI WORK WITHOUT AUDIO PROOFING. IT IS VERY OBVIOUS. I can't tell you how many people are looking for the quick buck and screwing over a lot of people this way. Remember, this is a small industry.
The pay is net 30 days. This job is $3.00/page, 24 lines per page. You can do your own math from there. Again, nice, lucrative job.
This is a project I have been doing for many, many years, but this month, there is a need for more transcriptionists, and if you do well, of course, you'll be recalled if you like the work.
